Telehealth offers a convenient way to access healthcare from the comfort of your own space. Whether it’s a phone or video call, you can connect with your doctor, nurse, psychologist, or other health professional without needing to visit the clinic in person.
To receive a Medicare rebate for a telehealth consult, you’ll generally need to have had an in-person appointment at our practice within the past 12 months. There are some exceptions to this rule. You may still be eligible for a rebate if:
Your child is under 12 months old
You’re currently experiencing homelessness
You’ve tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 7 days
You’re required to isolate or quarantine under government advice
You’re waiting on COVID-19 test results
You’re accessing telehealth for specific services, such as:
Blood-borne virus care
Sexual or reproductive health consultations
Pregnancy counselling
Mental health support
Smoking and nicotine cessation advice
If you’re unsure about your eligibility or would like help booking a telehealth appointment, our friendly team is here to assist. We’re committed to making your healthcare experience as easy and supportive as possible.
